Edward Burtynsky

After studying Edward Burtynsky in Photography lll, I instantly took a liking to his work. His photographs struck me as strong both dynamically and conceptually. Within these photographs Burtynsky attempts to portray humanities affect on nature. “Burtynsky takes us to places we’ve never seen, and places we perhaps were never meant to see, and he shows us a world that has incredible importance in our lives.” Find a short video about that statement here. His series on quarries were my personal favorite. He transforms these already transformed landscapes into puzzle like images.
